Four Seasons Button Tree

I saw there was a button contest over at Arrow Sewing Cabinets and I am pretty excited! This is what I made for it:

I’ve made plenty of button trees but this is my fave! I used four 7×14 canvases for the first time and I love the look! Lets hope I win! (The staff are voting for the winner so unfortunately I can’t bribe you all to go vote a hundred times- hahaha.) Wish me luck! 😀
They haven’t announced what the prize is yet, so I think that means I can invent one! It is definitely unicorn dust. No. That’s too messy and controversial. It’s got to be a house. Ya… sweet. Okay, more is on the line here than I had originally thought. I could really use a house. Wish me exttttraaa luck, please! 😉

Button Elephant In The Room

I just finished up a cute little project and I need to share it!

His name is Pubert. Betcha thought his name would be ‘Eli’, didn’t ya?Actually, I bet you thought an inanimate object of craftiness shouldn’t have a name. Well, I’ll have you know, buttons are people too! When will you realize that?!?!

Pubert is the first animal to join my button zoo. I can’t wait to try more of these. The white frame finishes it off so nicely- it is perfect for a nursery.

This was such an easy project (as usual, hahaha.) I can’t wait to share a tutorial asap! But for now, I’m going to go enjoy a cup of tea. With Pubert… heh.

Wordless Wednesday (I CUT OFF ALL MY HAIR!)

Okay, I can’t handle not using words. I got my hair chopped off last night! Here is an over-exposed overly vampirish photo! I have the best hair dresser in the world. Her name is Paola and she is at Carreiro Salon (downtown Victoria). Set up an apt! Do it! 920.5710

Short hair is so fun! I was all paranoid that I’d look like a soccer mom when I rolled out of bed in the morning, but I totally didn’t! 😀
