Chocolate-Dipped Apple Slices!

Here is a quick lil post I wanted to share just in time for apple season! Who doesn’t love a delicious candy apple??!?! I do but they are pretty hard for a kiddo to eat- so try out this slightly different version!

All ya need is an apple (or two or three), some melting wafers or chocolate chips, some popsicle sticks, and sprinkles!!!

Just slice the apples like this- try not to get any core in there. And stab em with a popsicle stick like so.

Then dip em in the melted chocolate.

And decorate! Make sure you let them harden on parchment paper so they don’t stick to your tray!

Here is an even more delish snack to make which is equally as simple! Take some oreos and stab em with a popsicle stick right thru the creamy center.

Dip those beauties and decorate! Let them harden in the fridge for about 5 minutes, and enjoy!

How fun is that!?!? I wanted to take pictures of my kids eating them but they devoured them too quickly! This is one of my favorite “snacktivities” I like to do when other kiddos come to play- I think I invented that word.

I love a good activity that is easy and relatively tidy…relatively. It occupies the kids and then they can have a snack when they’re done! And they think I’m the most fun mom ever, when in reality, I just like the idea of juvenile diabetes  am.

Try this with yer kiddos asap!

Happy Apple dipping and… Snapple sipping? Is Snapple even still around?

This is perfect, I always thought candy apples had the apple-to-candy ratio skewed in the wrong direction.

So, I’m totes going to do have a go at that! I do a similar thing for Pheebs movie nights. (Though to be strictly British, it should be ‘film nights’) But we use banana chunks, with melted milk chocolate, then dipped in a saucer of sprinkles, then FROZEN. They rock. So it’s like chocolate covered banana sorbet. Mmmm.

I tried the sliced apples with melted chocolate and carmel but the chocolate would not stice because the juice of the apples would run out of the apples. How do you keep the juice from coming out?
